This principle lies at the heart of the Irristaud project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From the beginning, growers, advisors and other stakeholders have been actively involved in the project through a co-creation approach. Rather than developing technologies in isolation, project partners work closely with end users to ensure that innovations address real challenges and fit into everyday production systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout workshops, field-days and discussion sessions, participants have shared valuable perspectives on digital decision-support tools and sensor-based monitoring systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One recurring theme has been simplicity. While modern sensors can generate large amounts of data, growers consistently emphasize the need for clear and intuitive information. The purpose of digital tools should be to reduce complexity rather than create additional work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trust is another essential factor. Users want to understand where information comes from and how recommendations are generated. Transparent communication and understandable explanations are therefore essential components of dashboard development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Participants have also highlighted the need for flexibility. Different crops, production systems and management objectives require adaptable solutions that can accommodate diverse situations. Especially in ornamental production, farmers often produce a wide range of plants with a wide range of physiological variability. A one-size-fits-all approach is unlikely to meet the needs of all plants, and therefore all users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The co-creation process helps project partners better understand these requirements and incorporate them into ongoing development activities. At the same time, it provides an opportunity for stakeholders to learn about emerging technologies and contribute their practical expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
